Scheme 2 'RPMS' is an 'Annual' inspection scheme.
After an initial 'Ad Hoc' Inspection and repair, and in fact after any printer response, the details of the response including all work carried out is entered into our 'RPMS' database. If after 12 months that particular printer has not had a further response our 'RPMS' software flags its details and a Laser Friend representative will contact you to enquire on the printer condition.
During use, the printer cooling fan draws air, including dust, into the printer. A build up of toner, paper and general environmental dust will develop in the printers different assemblies. Additionally the paper path rollers will become glazed and eventually slip on the paper creating paper feed problems.
The 'RPMS' inspection is carried out using the same procedure as the 'Ad Hoc' inspection, the only difference is that being 'Pro Active', it becomes a 'Preventative Procedure', rather than waiting for the printer to fail during that all important job which "Has to go out tonight".
Since starting this scheme in 2000, we have found that rather than waiting for that inconvenient, costly downtime, our clients find that booking an Annual 'RPMS' Inspection at a time suitable to them, makes maintaining their printer/s convenient.
